Join our team as the Entertainment Services Coordinator at The Star Brisbane.

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.

The Entertainment Services Coordinator, reporting to the Resort Technical Manager, is responsible for supporting the Audio-Visual department and Entertainment Manager in the planning and execution of entertainment for venues and special events at The Star Brisbane.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with multiple stakeholders including Audio Visual, Food and Beverage, Marketing and Gaming to ensure alignment of the entertainment proposition with property activations, promotions and events,
  • Quality control and reporting on the performance of entertainment across all venues and special events, ensuring set times and our Star standards are upheld.
  • Oversee entertainment during peak times (weekends and activations) and assist in entertainment sign in and escorting.
  • Manage the shared entertainment resources across departments and venues (change rooms, stages etc.).
  • Ensure technical and hospitality riders are captured and hire additional backline if required.
  • Support the Resort Technical Manager and Entertainment Manager in the development & execution of business plans, invoicing and quotes for entertainment as required.

What we will be looking for

  • Previous experience in the administration or planning of events or entertainment.
  • The ability to assist in coordinating entertainment across multiple venues and events.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Capacity when required to work some evenings and weekends.

 About you

You will have some experience in the events or hospitality industry in the administration of entertainment or events. You will have the ability to develop productive relationships both internally and externally whilst maintaining excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Star is all about creating memorable guest experiences and as such a passion for events, entertainment and fun will be key.
