The Surveillance Trainee Operator role reports directly to the Surveillance Duty Manager and offers an extraordinary opportunity to establish overall property control, safety & security whilst protecting the assets and maintaining gaming integrity. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for Surveillance.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Investigate and Report on activities that potentially pose a threat to the integrity of the operations and casino statutory obligations.
  • Review CCTV footage to resolve all gaming inquiries and disputes from internal and external customers.
  • Monitor alarm systems and co-ordinate an appropriate response via communications systems to relevant operational departments and emergency services
  • Maintain a high level of job knowledge relating to CCTV, gaming, security, alarm systems and other job-related systems.
  • Monitor and Report on all critical incidents across The Star complex

What we are looking for:

  • Availability to work a rotating roster (12hr shifts), including weekends & public holiday.
  • Excellent keyboard typing proficiency & computer skills.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Casino gaming experience preferred but not essential
  • Attention to detail with good focus & concentration ability.
  • The ability to remain composed and perform under pressure whilst multi-tasking.

You will have a great eye for detail with hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment using multiple systems. Effective communication and written skills will be vital for this position.
