Join our team as a Property Operations Technician (Locksmith) at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Property Operations Technician (Locksmith) reports directly to the Property Operations Manager and will be maintaining, repairing and replacing all mechanical and computerised locking devices. In addition to this, The Property Operations Technician will occasionally be required to attend works outside of their trade in order to assist other team members, providing an excellent opportunity to diversify their skillset! This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for Property Operations.
A few of your responsibilities
- Carry out work issued by supervisors from start through to completion, maintaining a high standard of performance
- Identify and report service requirements as early as possible to maintain quality standards throughout the building
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good running condition at all times and are properly stored and accounted for
- Maintain a sufficient supply of all parts to ensure constant availability at all times

What we will be looking for
- Locksmith trade qualification
- Previous experience in a Locksmith role
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Prior exposure to an environment with a high turnover of maintenance requests, such as Hospitality, will be highly regarded
About you
The ideal candidate will be a trade certified Locksmith with the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously. The successful candidate will take pride in their work and will assist supervisors in ensuring the highest standard of production and efficiency.
