The Chief Financial Officer The Star Sydney role reports directly to Chief Executive Officer The Star Sydney (CEO) and offers an extraordinary opportunity to provide financial leadership and direction to the Sydney finance functions, ensuring the most effective financial management is implemented to achieve profitability and business objectives.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you can work with the CEO and the Group CFO to develop strategic financial plans to monitor and enhance risk-adjusted business performance.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Provide financial disciplines and sign-off for The Star Sydney business expenses, initiatives and investment proposals in accordance with appropriate delegation level as set with Group CFO
- Deliver financial leadership and guidance to Star Sydney operations team
- Design and maintain financial controls across The Star Sydney
- Provide ownership of The Star Sydney financials and decision support for the CEO
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications; post graduate qualification in finance fields (e.g. CA, CPA)
- 15+ years finance experience in similar large or ASX listed organisations
- Change management skills and experience in establishing new and best practice procedures
- Strong Stakeholder engagement and management, across multiple properties/businesses
- Experience with Gaming / Integrated Resort industry desired

You are an experienced CFO with commercial acumen gained through exposure to dynamic and highly regulated organisations undergoing transformation and change. You analyse and synthesise large amounts of data to identify and present meaningful observations and recommendations with clarity and honesty. You consistently lead with integrity and inspire those around you with your commitment and drive.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our new property centric finance team for The Star Sydney.
