As our Risk and Compliance Manager, reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity to Support with the design, delivery and ongoing management of The Star Entertainment Group’s Controls Library to ensure the effective administration of controls and risk profile management.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Guide business leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks in line with the Risk Management Framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs
- Identify and evaluate potential risks that could impact the organisation
- Support the relevant Line 1 Risk and Compliance Team responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks
- Ensure the organisation complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Develop and implement compliance programs and policies
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to drive the business growth and acts like an owner by making commercial decisions that are scalable, and group focused to differentiate The Star
- Professional certification in risk management or compliance

You are a risk-conscious leader with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks. With expertise in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks, you excel at developing policies and controls that ensure regulatory adherence. Your strong stakeholder management skills and strategic mindset enable you to drive a culture of compliance and operational integrity.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our risk management framework, safeguarding The Star against regulatory and operational risks.
