As our Senior Manager Asset Protection reporting directly to the General Manager Asset Protection, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Asset Protection Department's physical security risk and security compliance requirements while building business resilience. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and assets while upholding the highest standards of security and compliance within the organisation.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct physical security risk assessments to identify risks and develop control measures to ensure the safety and security of The Star Sydney’s people, assets, and information. Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks
  • Develop and lead the implementation of operational security plans for major events within The Star Sydney ensuring the safety of employees and guests
  • Lead the response and develop plans to address physical security incidents impacting The Star Sydney and manage business resilience
  • Provide Physical Security advice and education to key stakeholders to build a security aware culture.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, including day-to-day support, work planning, team development, coaching, and mentoring

What we are looking for:

  • Possess advanced expertise in risk assessment and risk methodologies within a security environment, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of potential threats
  • Proven experience in managing physical security risk, ensuring compliance, and enhancing business resilience to safeguard operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of security technologies.
  • Hold a current NSW Security Industry Licence 1A or willingness to obtain

You are a strategic thinker and a decisive leader, capable of ensuring the safety and security of The Star Sydney’s assets, employees, and guests while maintaining a customer-centric approach. You are a natural communicator with great negotiation skills with the ability to use data to drive change.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Asset Protection operations at The Star Sydney.
