We are currently looking for a passionate and highly dedicated applicant to join our Culinary Team as a Junior Sous Chef for Banquets at The Star Sydney.

A few of your responsibilities:
- Be accountable for supervising a section of the kitchen
- Train staff at lower levels, coach, and guide employees to perform kitchen operations
- Handle and follow up on all incidents immediately, and report accurately
- Maintain food cost to parameter given by the company
- Keep outlet ahead of HACCP standards
What we are looking for:
- Solid Demi Chef/Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef experience and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment and the complexities of running events
- Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to commit to 38 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
