We do this by providing entertainment, gaming, and leisure experiences in a safe, responsible, and ethical way. We will do this by embedding our values to lead the organisation with a focus on safer gambling and good business practices.

Our properties across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney are world-class with many award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.

As our Senior Manager Internal Audit, reporting to the Group Manager Internal Audit, you will lead the delivery of an agile, insightful and sought-after internal audit service for a TSEG Property and function.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will manage relationships with property and group support leadership, oversee regulatory engagement, and deliver high-quality internal audits that support The Star’s strategic objectives.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end audit process, including planning, risk assessments, scoping, data analytics, fieldwork and delivery of audit results.
  • Build annual audit plans aligned with the master audit plan and deliver audits in response to emerging risks.
  • Manage relationships with property management teams, group support functions, and state-based regulators.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Analysts and junior team members.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audits and compliance with the Internal Audit Operating Manual.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable internal audit experience in highly regulated, commercially complex organisations.
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep information technology and data analytics capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and manage ambiguity.
  • Big 4 or Financial Services experience is desired but not essential.

About you:

You are a seasoned audit professional with extensive experience in internal audit, compliance audit, or similar risk management roles, including time in a senior or managerial capacity. You bring a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and assurance excellence.

Your role will be key in shaping the success of our internal audit function by ensuring robust risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness across The Star’s group support functions.

What we can offer you:

  • Complimentary meal on site every day including hot meals, sandwich bar and more
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Up to 30% discounts across award-winning restaurants and accommodation
  • Career development, training, and courses via The Star Academy – limitless career opportunities
  • An organisation that values diversity, teamwork and being your best self
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing services
  • Paid Parental leave from Day 1, Secondary Carer’s leave also on offer
