Join our team as the Overnight Houseperson at The Star Brisbane.   

The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.  

As our Overnight Houseperson, you’ll report directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager. You will be accountable for the day-to-day cleaning operations within the hotel during the overnight shift, as well as producing clean, safe rooms and associated areas.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Ensure courteous and prompt delivery of all guest and staff requests
  • Assist in linen removal from guest rooms & linen delivery to all floors
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively as required
  • Ensure handover procedures are carried out appropriately
  • Handling of chemicals as outlined by WHS and maintain a clean chemical area
  • Perform all duties relating to guestroom linen management, e.g. collections, delivery, discarding of spoiled linen

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience in a four/five star Hotel
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Physically capable of performing inherent requirements of the position
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar position is highly desirable
  • The ability to work on a permanent full-time basis
  • Availability to work the night shift (11pm until 7am)
