We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Audit Senior Analyst to join The Star!

Position Purpose:
 
To deliver an agile, insightful and sought-after internal audit service.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Develop a sound understanding of property specific risks and unique obligations
  • Build relationships with key property personnel, including first and second line
  • Work with line 1 and line 2 to support a collaborative 3LoA approach to assurance
  • Support audit planning, risk assessment, scoping, perform appropriate data analytics, independently conduct fieldwork, complete audit files, summary of findings and deliver audits to the standard expected
  • Draft succinct reports which identify issues and address genuine root cause
  • Deliver audits and annual plan on time.
  • Adhere to IA Operating Manual and quality practices.

Capabilities:

  • Comparable internal audit experience in highly regulated, commercially complex organisations.
  • Strong communications skills, both in terms of written (documentation) and verbal (e.g. facilitating workshops).
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to work in a team but also to work independently as required.
  • Sound data analytics capability
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines.
  • Lead Self, Lead Others, Lead Business (refer to The Star Leadership Framework)
  • Demonstration of organisation behaviour and values

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and relevant professional qualifications.
  • Previous experience (4-8 years) in Internal Audit, Compliance Audit or similar Risk Management role.
