As a Senior Health & Safety and Injury Management Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting business operations as the first line of defence in preventing workplace injuries. You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you are empowered to identify and deliver pragmatic improvement opportunities. You will ensure that health and safety risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed while continuing to reduce incidents and injuries, and improve the health and wellbeing of our team members.

A few of your responsibilities:
- Encourage ownership and ethical leadership, fostering a strong health and safety culture across the organisation
- Partner with business leaders to identify, assess, and manage health and safety risks in line with the Safety Management System and relevant policies
- Conduct analysis and reporting on health and safety risk exposure, key trends, issues, incidents, and breaches, providing insights to drive risk-based decision-making
- Maintain health and safety risk registers, ensuring all risks are appropriately documented, monitored and actioned
- Lead the identification and implementation of innovative safety solutions in collaboration with operational teams
- Provide support for the Injury Management Team through the rehabilitation and sustainable return to work for team members with work-related injuries
- Conduct regular health and safety risk assurance activities, communicating findings to senior management
What are we looking for
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health or a related field (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in a health and safety management role within a multifaceted industry
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including state and federal legislation, and industry best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism

With your extensive experience in health and safety in an operational setting, you excel in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, and have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement in health and safety practices. Your exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills enable you to build trust and develop a culture of accountability and ethical decision-making. You are adept at managing confidential matters with integrity and professionalism, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can lead by example.
