The Star Brisbane is looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team.
The Star Brisbane is Australia’s newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer service–oriented general accounting services across The Star Brisbane, working closely with key finance stakeholders and business partners to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close, including journal preparation, accrual reviews, cost allocations, and P&L analysis.
- Assist with monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partner support.
- Collaborate across Accounting Services, FP&A, and Commercial Managers to support financial objectives.
- Maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with The Star’s accounting policies and regulatory obligations.
- Provide support during audits and due diligence processes.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives in finance operations.
What are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CA/CPA qualification (essential).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in management accounting, FP&A, or similar finance support roles.
- High-level numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Oracle, TM1, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
