As a Category Manager, you will handle the procurement workstream for Soft FM services, ensuring the business is enabled to achieve agreed business requirements. You will be an influential individual working autonomously yet collaboratively, driving efficiencies and delivering value for money from Supplier negotiations evidenced by cost reductions. The ability to ensure risk mitigation and compliance with relevant procurement policy and procedures is crucial in this position.
This is a permanent full-time role in a friendly and supportive team, with your preference of either Brisbane or Sydney!
About your new role:
- Ensure required services are sourced on time and to budget to enable the property to commence operations
- Complete negotiation strategies and lead negotiations on complex, high impact and challenging supply arrangements, driving efficiencies and value outcomes
- Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational and ethical risks to minimise negative impact to category objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external collaborators, including suppliers
- Provide timely and accurate communications and information to relevant parties with high attention to detail
- Be willing and able to support other Category Managers in other workstreams as other priorities arise

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Prior experience in a complex environment managing multiple responsibilities
- Demonstrated strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, challenge and build credibility with Senior Leaders and C-Suite Executives
- Strong background in procurement, sourcing or category management with a comfortable knowledge of consumer and competition law
- Advanced influencing and negotiation skills, commercial awareness and eye for business
- The ability of working collaboratively to deliver results for multiple partners with competing demands
- Exceptional communication skills, a go-getter attitude and strategic mentality
- Proven ability to influence people for continuous improvement and value creation initiatives
