As a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Nineteen at The Star, you will be a hands on hospitality leader who thrives on the floor, leading by example and delivering exceptional guest experiences. With a genuine love of food, wine, and service, you will play a key role in setting the tone on shift, guiding the team, engaging with guests, and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.

Your strong wine knowledge and passion for modern dining will allow you to confidently recommend dishes and pairings, elevate the guest journey, and build lasting customer loyalty. As a visible and approachable leader, you will coach and mentor the team in real time, driving professionalism, warmth, and consistency throughout the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead from the floor as a hands on supervisor, overseeing service and supporting the team throughout the shift
  • Coach, train, and mentor team members in service standards, wine knowledge, and guest engagement
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences through polished, proactive, and personalised service
  • Support the achievement of financial and operational targets through strong shift leadership and attention to detail
  • Run effective pre shift briefings to align the team on service focus and expectations
  • Maintain an in depth understanding of the menu, wine list, and dining offering, enabling the team to confidently guide guests

What are we looking for

  • Leadership experience in a high-end dining establishment, with a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing and dining etiquette
  • A passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and quality
  • Current QLD RSA Statement of Attainment
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
