The Star Entertainment Group is seeking a senior leader to oversee monitoring and intelligence activities within our Financial Crime Risk Operations department. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving innovation in our financial crime frameworks.

About the Role

As Head of Financial Crime Monitoring and Intelligence, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for monitoring, detecting, and managing financial crime risks. You will design and implement intelligence programs, ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute monitoring and intelligence strategies to mitigate financial crime risks
- Oversee operational processes for compliance and risk management
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
- Deliver reports and insights to senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and analytics capabilities
- Represent The Star in industry forums and regulatory committees

What we are looking for:

- Undergraduate degree in law, business, finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in financial crime compliance or risk management
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational risk management
- Proven leadership experience in a large, complex organisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
