As the Chef de Partie in our Harvest Buffet/Production kitchen, you will support the smooth and efficient execution of high-quality food service at one of our busiest restaurants! The Chef de Partie plays a critical hands-on role in food preparation, supervising team members, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and developing operational capabilities within the team.
A few of your responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and consistency of food served
- Prepare large scale production of various food, ready for service
- Ensure all equipment is clean, operational, and safely used
- Assist in stock rotation, portion control, and report on low stock or wastage
- Mentor, train, and support the development of Demi, Commis, and Apprentice Chefs within the team
What are we looking for
- Proven Chef experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning
- Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation and be highly organised and self motivated
- Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexible availability for dayshifts - Monday to Friday
