As our Food & Beverage Supervisor reporting to the Venue Manager, you will support leading a team to deliver the daily operations of the venue and provide an exceptional guest experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will have the opportunity to create a unique dining experience for our guests, take good care and have a hands on approach when maintaining efficiency of service, general product and technical knowledge.

Venues we are recruiting for:

Sokyo – Awarded and maintained One Hat Restaurant for 9 years running. Sleek, electric atmosphere with a sunken dining room and bold calligraphy. This is where ritual meets art in every dish and every little detail, everywhere you look.  

Black Bar & Grill – Sydney’s best steakhouse showcasing wood-fired steaks and seafood with fresh seasonal produce overlooking the beautiful Pyrmont Bay. Awarded “Best Steak Restaurant” and “Goblets and Gourmet Traveler Wine List of the Year” 3 years in a row!!! 

Sovereign Dining – Exclusive, luxe and unique space for our VIP Members, with uninterrupted views of the iconic Sydney harbour, a sophisticated sunken bar and a fine dining restaurant offering Asian and Western cuisines.

Oasis Lounge - Inviting sanctuary away from the hustle & bustle of the Main Gaming Floor. A dedicated pace and serene lounge areas to relax and socialize in comfort.

Sports Bar - Our hub for all mega sporting events. All your pub favourites, bar and entertainment lineups weekly, and over 50 LCD TVS.

In Room Dining - A world of luxe. Look after our guests staying at The Star Grand Hotel and The Darling, Sydney's only Forbes five star boutique hotel and urban resort. Here you will find all the allure of Australia's most glamourous city poured into ravishing cocktail of courtesy, charisma and charm.

G&Tea – Tea and coffee bar by day, gin bar by night. The perfect space that offers high tea, refreshing cocktails and heavenly plates of dainty ribbon sandwiches.

A few of your responsibilities:   

  • Assist Venue Manager to lead and support achievement of financial and operational targets
  • Support the Manager and Assistant Manager in the development of business plans for the outlet and assist with the implementation of the business unit’s and division’s strategies
  • Supervise staff and assist the Assistant Restaurant Manager complete all people planning requirements including training, development and performance management of staff
  • Set specific daily performance objectives for all employees and supervise the service flow and performance standards
  • Ensure all staff adheres to cash handling procedures, and record all cheque, money, credit card and room charge transactions in the MICROS system in accordance with policy and procedure Ensure an open line of communication at all times through daily shift briefings, and ensure a smooth transition and handover between all shifts. Monitor the quality of food and service to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace and coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and materials and maintain level of stock.

What we are looking for:   

  • Supervisory experience within in a similar large busy environment, with a thorough knowledge of food and beverages
  • Demonstrated ability in planning and resourcing people and products, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a proactive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests
  • Highly organised and eager, with a high attention to detail
  • Current RSA Statement of Attainment
  • Flexible availability for work over a 7-day roster
