Our Property Operations team is currently looking for an experienced Fitter. As a Fitter, you are responsible for ensuring Plant and Equipment is functioning in a manner that is in accordance with manufacturer requirements. Duties may include working in various locations on site including the kitchens and our inhouse Laundry.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Perform specialised trades maintenance throughout The Star property as per triaged Maximo log
• Maintain inventory of tools, materials and equipment
• Support other trade technicians in the team with their respective work
• Trouble shoot and provide expert advice in the event of incidents that occur on equipment

What are we looking for:

• Engineering trade certification with relevant experience
• Previous experience with repair and maintenance of commercial processing plant and equipment
• A customer first approach, with a positive disposition
• A good understanding of Food Safety legislation and community safety
• Experience with Stainless Steel Welding and Fabrication (highly regarded)
• Previous experience in the maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (highly regarded)
• A valid Gas Work Licence (Type A& B) (highly regarded)
