As our People Partner Manager, General Manager People Operations, you will closely collaborate with The Star Sydney’s corporate and operational functions and align them to the wider people strategy.  

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will lead your own portfolio and play a pivotal role in the development of leadership and their capability whilst meeting regulatory and governance requirements. 

 

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Embrace collaboration between the functional and property leaders to deliver a consistent, efficient, and proactive strategic people agenda together with the business
  • Partner closely with the leader to ensure that the People agenda is a priority and that the solutions meet the unique needs of the group or department
  • Prioritise and partner in building financially sound recommendations, across all aspects of People & Performance (P&P) that address both the immediate and the long-term needs
  • Understand the root cause of leadership needs and gather insights on behalf of the P&P team to inform the design and roll out of P&P initiatives
  • Coach, develop and empower leaders to perform as leaders, in addition to educating leaders particularly on the People operating model

 

What we will be looking for:

  • Proven work experience in a People Advisory role
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or Organisational Development
  • Strong relationship, coaching, influencing and communication skills to build the development of leadership teams
  • Demonstrates a proactive business partnership, driven by a self-starter mindset and an unwavering can-do attitude

You are a natural collaborator and communicator, able to understand and explain complex business requirements and strategy and then work alongside leaders to ensure successful outcomes. You appreciate the unique needs of each business unit and are able to leverage your experience in a fast paced highly regulated work environment.
