As our Senior Regulatory Advisor, reporting to the Regulatory Manager, you will be supporting the business in understanding their regulatory obligations and assist in progressing business initiatives for approval.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and maintain professional relationships with the casino regulator through assisting with submission and enquiries.

 

A few of your responsibilities:  

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Casino Control Act and Regulations, approved Gaming Rules, Internal Controls and Minimum Standards.
  • Develop and ensure The Star’s business records and internal controls are in order, accessible to the business and comply with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with the casino regulator through scheduled forums and on an ad-hoc basis to raise matters and responses on behalf of the business.
  • Provide the business with informed advice and make recommendations regarding regulatory interpretation and application.
  • Liaise with the business to progress amendments to Internal Controls and other regulated documents.

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Demonstrated capacity to comprehend complex issues, think strategically and oversee operational change
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Relevant vocational qualifications in compliance, audit and risk management highly regarded
  • Excellent research, written and verbal communications skills

 

About you:

You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proactive approach in supporting the Regulatory Manager to reduce risks of legislative or ICM breaches. Your working knowledge of the Casino Control Act, Gaming Rules, and Internal Controls ensures that business records and procedures comply with statutory requirements. You excel at liaising with both internal stakeholders and external regulators, effectively communicating and providing informed advice on regulatory matters.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Regulatory Affairs team to assist in ensuing compliance at The Star.
