As a Painter reporting to the Property Operations Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout the property that is aesthetically pleasing to our guests and stakeholders.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your technical skills and trade expertise throughout our property at The Star Sydney.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Painting details, both interior and exterior
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs for all hotel rooms, F&B, Gaming and event spaces
  • Source and replace wallpaper in various locations of the property
  • Maintain proficiency in colour matching, touch up refinishing of furniture and repair and hanging of wall coverings
  • Carry out routine inspections of assigned areas and report and repair as required
  • Complete all work/repairs in a safe, professional and efficient manner

What are we looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and awareness of residential and or commercial painting
  • Trade certificate cert III as minimum
  • Passion and pride for providing an excellent product and good organizational and self-management skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised and willingness to assist with other maintenance when required
  • Professional approach in dealing with guests and stakeholders whilst carrying out your daily tasks
