As a Safety & Security Supervisor at The Star, your main purpose will be to work alongside the Safety & Security Duty Manager within the operational side of the department to ensure safety and security is always maintained.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your security leadership expertise throughout our property at The Star Gold Coast.

A few of your responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations and ensure the preservation of the scene
  • Uphold relevant Federal and State laws relating to the operation of a Hotel/Casino complex
  • Attend to and give direction to the team, taking necessary action for matters/incidents relating to wellbeing, safety and protection of team, guests, and company assets.
  • Ensure the prevention, resolution, safe removal, and eviction of any guest/team member that displays inappropriate behaviour
  • Provide regular constructive performance feedback including taking appropriate corrective action to educate, coach, counsel and if necessary, take disciplinary action

What are we looking for:

  • Suitable experience and/or qualification withing the security industry
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (including advanced resuscitation and defibrillation)
  • Qualification in the use and application of restraints
  • Knowledge of Casino Control Act Qld 1982, Knowledge of Qld Criminal Code and Knowledge of QLD Liquor Act 1992 is highly regarded
