The Star Brisbane is looking to appoint a Quality and Supplier Engagement Lead. In this role you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless flow of food and beverage products received and distributed through the Loading Dock. In this role you will ensure that all items meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant food authority regulations, legislative requirements. Working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and regulatory bodies, you will help uphold the integrity of our food supply chain, ensuring that every product delivered to our operations is safe, compliant, and of the highest quality.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Ensure Loading Docks are compliant with procedures for the purpose of housekeeping.
- To assist with the monitoring of short dates report on any products issues on the Loading Dock
- Working with Warehouse & Logistics Manager to ensure that all Loading Dock staff are trained and compliant with all Quality processes & procedures
- All the reporting tools are up to date daily and followed through for close off accordingly
- Attend supplier engagement meetings as required to discuss matters related to the daily operations and to install proactive communication and solutions.
- Reviewing and monitoring of food and beverage goods received to the Loading Dock, including reviewing expiry dates, weight, quality, ensuring packaging is undamaged and product temperature checks are accurately undertaken to ensure food and beverage is received at safe temperatures.
- Liaise with suppliers to conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, including fridge and freezer compartments, to ensure food safety standards are in effect and in cases of non-compliance appropriate action is taken
- Working closely with outlet Chefs to ensure all orders are received and stored in a timely manner each day.
What are we looking for:
- Previous Food & Beverage auditing experience
- Experience in a Food & Beverage production environment
- Certificate IV in training and assessment is desirable
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, the Liquor Act, the Responsible Service of Alcohol programme, Industrial Relations laws and WHS laws
About you
You will bring a wealth of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, with a strong background in auditing and ensuring compliance within production environments. Your expertise in this field is complemented by you being able to effectively engage and train others on best practices. You have a solid understanding of key legislation, including the Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol program, Industrial Relations laws, and Workplace Health and Safety regulations. Your comprehensive knowledge of these laws ensures that The Star Brisbane remains compliant while maintaining the highest standards of safety and responsibility across all operations.
